The Challenges

- As a global company, Tyk faced time constraints and increased complexity across markets.
- PE-backed, with increasing ESG demands from investors.
- Uncertainty about where to start and what goals to prioritise in their ESG efforts, with B Corp also being considered.

The Results to date

- ESG Roadmap: Developed a comprehensive ESG roadmap, leading to over 100 tasks being actioned. As a result in 2024, Tyk placed 56th in best places to work in the UK for wellbeing.

- Centralised ESG View: Created a centralised view of their global ESG efforts, with the platform allowing for Rachna (the project lead) to effectively delegate tasks, source data points and action tasks in a seemless way.

- Supplier Mapping: We simplified supplier mapping process when it came to understanding Tyk's suppliers ESG credentials. Through a simple CSV export, we were able to source data from all of their major providers, including Amazon, HubSpot, Google, and Meta via the Supplier Manager.

- Emission Baseline: Across markets, the Emission Manager enabled Tyk to actively map their carbon footprint out - setting a clear baseline of their emissions, and allowing them to understand where their biggest contributors to CO2e was coming from.

- Preliminary BIA Score: As this was also considered during the outset, we also ensured tasks for Tyk in their ESG roadmap also complied with B Corp's certification if they wanted to pursue this - currently they have already achieved a preliminary BIA score of 84.2.
